BENGHAZI – The Military Academy for Strategic Security Studies, under the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, held a special training course supported directly by Major General Aoun Al-Farjani, the President of the Academy.

This event was not only focused on strategic security training but also included an iftar banquet and a social celebration coinciding with World Down Syndrome Day and Mother and Child Day on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

In his speech, Major General Aoun Al-Farjani emphasized the importance of providing special attention to vulnerable groups in Libyan society, including children with Down Syndrome and mothers and children.

“We are committed to providing continuous support for them and ensuring that their rights are not exploited. Our presence here is not only to strengthen the nation’s security but also to build a more inclusive and harmonious society,” said Al-Farjani.

He added that this celebration is not just an act of compassion but also a way to instill humanitarian values in the military academy trainees.

Major General Aoun Al-Farjani is recognized as one of the most influential figures in Libya’s leadership. He has played a strategic role in strengthening national security and stability and has made significant contributions to rebuilding Libya’s civil state following prolonged conflicts.

As a military leader, his approach extends beyond defense—he actively promotes a humanitarian vision to foster a stronger and more united society.

In addition to the social celebration, the academy organized an intensive training course aimed at enhancing the capabilities of military and security personnel in addressing strategic challenges in Libya.

The training focused on:

– Enhancing tactical and military strategy skills,

– Strengthening national security management and state stability,

– Ensuring the protection of civilians and human rights.

Participants in the training came from various military and security units, with the expectation that they will apply their acquired knowledge to create a safer and more secure Libya.

This event reflects a holistic approach to Libya’s development, where security and community welfare go hand in hand. It demonstrates that the military is not only responsible for defending the nation but also for promoting social justice and humanitarian values.

With this initiative, Libya continues to show its commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more inclusive nation for all its citizens.
